My wife was having trouble with blurred vision and we couldn’t find an opticians that was open. We spoke to Broomfield and they told us Boots in Chelmsford was open for emergencies and gave me the number. My wife had an over the phone consultation and the optician said he’d like to see her for an appointment.I dropped her off in town because she was going to have drops and couldn’t drive herself. She went to the shop and they let her in and went through everything. The optician was a lovely man and the staff members outside we’re happy to be able to help my wife. She has now been referred but her mind has been put at ease. We were desperately trying to do anything that didn’t involve going anywhere near casualty so I’m very please Boots are providing this service. As she was waiting for her drops to work, she was watching the goings on in the store and noticed that from the moment she arrived to the moment she left, they were non stop with enquiries and problems from some incredibly rude people and people like us, grateful to be able to get hold of someone. I’ve never known a time like it in my life and hope we never see it again but I’m very thankful to Boots and the genuine help and care they provided my wife when she needed it.Everyone goes out of their way to complain but I wanted to take the time to thank the staff at Chelmsford for their care.

Couldn’t get an appointment at Specsavers........Turned up at Reading Boots on the off chance of getting an emergency appointment. Not only did they accommodate me within 15 minutes but also apologised for me having to wait! Excellent customer service and much appreciated.

Experience at boots opticians

I broke my glasses and the boots opticians In castle-point had a appointment on the same day I needed a eye test to buy new glasses. I came a bit before my appointment time and was mentioned they were running late, this was fine and they was apologetic so I went shopping and came back. The test was thorough and I chose the glasses while i waited and the lady ordered my glasses, she went through all the options as well , I felt the service was great, I usually go somewhere else and will come to this one regularly

I called into Boots today (Saturday)…

I called into Boots today (Saturday) with a view to making an appointment for an eye test. I was told that they had just had a cancellation and if I wished there would be a test available in about one hour's time. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, giving me their full attention. The optometrist was excellent, with very good interpersonal skills, who took trouble to explain to me why she was recommending the prescription for varifocals but also listening to my concerns that I had found them difficult to manage when I tried them a few years ago. Everyone I met was very helpful and respectful. Excellent

Boots Opticians in the Oracle, Reading

I visited Boots Opticians in the Oracle shopping centre. I was desperate for an appointment as I had broken my glasses. The store was very busy and I was informed the clinic was fully booked. The assistant asked me to take a seat whilst they checked what they could do to try and help me. I was surprised and amazed they came back and asked me to return in 45 mins and the Optometrist would see me in their lunch hour, I protested but the assistant said they would not take no for an answer and it was no trouble. When I returned you would have thought I had made an appointment as they had all the paperwork ready, they took me straight through for some tests and then through Resharon the Optometrist who gave me one of the best eye tests I had ever had and I never felt like they were rushing to get me finished. The assistant managed to repair my glasses so I had something to wear and get my new glasses on a speedy service so I will have them in a week (quoted 3 weeks from Leightons). This service was second to non and above what I was expecting Boots to provide. I cant stop telling everyone how great they were and recommending the Optometrist Resharon to all my friends. If your looking for a great store with a friendly atmosphere and competent staff that care about their customers; look no further 10/10 service.

Boots Opticians, Stevenage

Boots Opticians in Stevenage are excellent. They identified a problem with one of my eyes and ensured I was seen at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage. I'm still going through the treatment but things are looking good.When I need new glasses the assistant doesn't look at the most expensive glasses but the ones the suit me the best.The eye test is very thorough and comprehensive. The only bit I don't like is when they have you look at a light and the puff of air comes. They always let that be the first test as no one likes it. I'm always grateful for that and look out for your health as well.I would highly recommend the Boots Opticians to everyone.

Excellent service given to me by Boots…

Excellent service given to me by Boots Opticians in Carmarthen. Eleni picked up a problem through my eye test. Referred me onto Glangwili Hospital on Wedneaday, received an appointment later that day for this morning Friday 31st Jan. The consultant has identified narrowing in my eyes causing the Aqueous fluids not draining properly. I will now be having Laser surgery to correct. I cannot thank the Branch enough. Carmen also gave great service in helping me choose new spectacles. So friendly. Well done to all the team. Brilliant!

Things can and do go wrong

The Boots eye test was very thorough but there must have been a misunderstanding between the Optometrist and myself. I ended up with a prescription that was restricted to close work up like reading a book. I have always been able to use my reading glasses to read from a computer screen too. I was not happy with the choice and price of frames in their budget range so had the glasses made up at SpecSavers. I had to return to SpecSavers to see if they couId put it right. By then I had already made the mistake of ordering a spare pair online. I have decided what to do in future to reduce the risk of any complications • Find the spectacle frames that I like at the right price before agreeing to an eye test at that opticians. If the new glasses are not right I can more easily go back and have it investigated. • Wait until I get the new glasses to make sure everything is OK before I consider ordering an extra pair from an online retailer. • Always attach an image of the prescription when ordering glasses online in case of a mistake or omission when filling in the details.

Excellent customer service

Just wanted to say thank you to Andy at the Wellingborough branch for being such a great help to us. We had a prescription for our 95 year old mother which was done at home but she decided to get the actual glasses from Boots. He couldn’t have been more helpful and considerate and we all ended up having a good laugh over what could have been a stressful time as our Mum is also very deaf! He guided us through all the options available and was very patient throughout. A really good customer experience and much better than other high street chains. Thanks, Andy - I’m afraid we’ll be back!
