Need to make you aware

Please read as this may speed up your customer service experience. I purchased a racing wheel at the end of Jan, a young lady told me I would have it in 2 days, it seemed abit strange due to bank holidays etc but I just went with it, this took a week, when I received the item it was damaged. Sent back item via DPD, etc. I was then told that there would now be a delay of 2 weeks till they could inspect the item before dispatching another. After really putting pressure on a young gentlemen within there call centre I found out that this was because they are facing major back logs in returned items (which he was not meant to tell me) , regardless that this is not your problem of course, you could end up waiting well over a month for your product, they are happy to take peoples money for a service they no they currently cannot provide which is force advertising. working within a law firm my instance was quickly resolved but I feel the frustration of many who have left comments here.

Everything OK, with the exception of the registration part: hard sell for insurance.Are tvs really expected to last for a year only?And the 12 month guarantee doesn't cover the whole of the TV! (buttons and other bits excluded)

Updated 30/04: Tip: use Facebook rather than call. Customer service team have come back to honour the price match . 3 stars added for this. I’m unable to get through to customer service. I’ve Waited for over an hour each time on 3 separate calls over the Past two days to get a price match guarantee refund. I was to get through to the Sales team within 10 mins but they didn’t want to help. Either extend your price match period or staff up your customer service!!

Service was good (not perfect)

Service was good (not perfect). Although it took a while for Currys to process my order (5 days), still, I cannot complain - after dispatching my parcel via DPD I got my stuff next day.After ordering I checked reviews of Currys in Trustpilot and was left in shock but, all I can say, worrying was unneccessary. These are hard times for e-shops - and we all gonna pull through this one. Stay rational!

Brilliant

Brilliant, item arrived earlier than website states and in the current climate I was pleasantly surprised. All negative comments on here about call centre wait times need to open their eyes. Staff WILL be sick. They are risking their own health to answer your calls and deal with your crappy attitude. Mistakes WILL be made due to shortage of staff. People need to give staff a break--I'm sure they're all at breaking point. Thank you for delivering my product I am very pleased.

Some positivity for concerned readers

Ordered a laptop on Wednesday evening and paid £5 for faster delivery, received it today (Friday) from DPD by 10am. Tracking information was detailed throughout.I was concerned there were going to be issues after reading pages upon pages of negative reviews of Currys on here yesterday, but am happy to say that I didn't experience any and thought I'd post this to say don't panic, there may be small delays in these unprecedented times, but just keep an eye on your emails and tracking for updates.Best place to contact Currys at the moment seems to be via Team Knowhow on Facebook Messenger or Twitter as I understand their phone lines are very busy.Great service from both Currys PC World, and DPD, especially given the current crisis - never experienced any issues with either.
